Selectmen’s Meeting

December 12, 2006

Tuesday3:30PM  

Selectmen present:  Chairman Nelson Grindal, Charlie Wiggins and Tom O'Connor. 

Other participants:  Assessor Roger Peppard, Adm. Asst Barbara Grindle and Tax Collector Belinda Pert. 

  1. Approved the minutes of the December 7, 2006, selectman’s meeting.

 

  1. Approved abatement (#184) in the amount of 52 cents for Bruce Grindal.  This was a refund of interest on a personal property bill he did not receive.

 

  1. Approved abatement (#185) in the amount of $20.61 for Donald McFarland.  This refund was for personal property he no longer owns.

 

  1. Selectmen discussed the increasing requests for charitable donations, being made of the town.  Last year $27,000 was approved for non profit organizations.  This year  based on the request already received, the amount will be similar or higher.   It was agreed to discuss the issue with the budget committee.

 The meeting was adjourned at 5:45PM.
