SELECTMEN’S MEETING
November 19, 2009
The Selectmen met at the Town Office after the special town meeting held at the Town House. Present were Selectmen Nelson Grindal, Bill Jagger and Victor Smith. Also present were Treasurer/Clerk Cindy Reilly and Assistant Barbara Grindle.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Selectmen signed two homestead exemptions, two building notifications and four abatements prepared by the assessor.
Results of the special town meeting were discussed. The vote to take the two 60 ft wide strips of land for a town way, 80 ft stormwater buffer easement from Blue Hill Heritage Trust and removal of the restrictions placed on their deed by the Patten sisters was approved by the townspeople 60–16. The townspeople also approved the payment of damages for these takings: Blue Hill Heritage Trust $13,500 and the Patten sisters $0. Payment was included in the Treasurers warrant for Nov. 19, 2009.
Signed the Treasurer’s warrant for $42,339.77. Contributions to organizations approved at the March town meeting amounted to $24,319.00, and the payment to BHHT was $13,500.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm.
