SELECTMEN’S MEETING
July 17, 2014
Opened the meeting and established a quorum present. Selectmen present: Neil Davis, Nelson Grindal, Victor Smith. Also present: Treasurer Cindy Reilly, Assistant Barbara Grindle, Robert Jones.
Read and approved the minutes of the last meeting.
Signed the treasurer’s warrant for $18,016.60; $3,000 was for the parking lot at the Town House, $8,300 final payment for the reassessment project, $1,199.80 for Fire Safety equipment for the Fire Department.
TAX COLLECTOR, TREASURER BUSINESS: Signed the commitment papers for the tax collector. Tax bills will be in the mail next week.
Letters were drafted to owners of foreclosed properties telling them to come and talk to the selectmen about making payments; foreclosed property can be put up for auction if arrangements are not made to pay the taxes.
HCPC sent notice regarding floodplain maps, notices and appeals periods.
OLD BUSINESS: Assistant to publish notice of public hearing for the new General Assistance directives from the state. August 7, 6:30 pm at the selectmen’s office.
NEW BUSINESS: No new business to come before the selectmen.
CEO REPORT: CEO not present.
ADJOURN: There being no further business, the motion was made, seconded and voted 3-0 to adjourn the meeting at 6:50 pm.
