SELECTMEN’S MEETING
July 1, 2014
Opened the meeting and established a quorum. Selectmen present: Neil Davis, Nelson Grindal, Victor Smith. Also present: CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.
Read and approved the minutes of the last meeting.
Signed the treasurer’s warrant for $31,273.95. Tarring was $1,898.60, salaries $9,433.44, Sedgwick-Brooksville Walker Pond Committee $15,000, TRIO dues for the year $3,060.17.
Treasurer home sick and tax collector on vacation until July 8.
OLD BUSINESS: Maine Municipal Association will be going to court to clarify the new general assistance directive regarding illegal immigrants from the governor and DHHS.
Town dock repair photos sent to Dan Whittier, and the grant application from the Harbor Committee has been sent.
Selectmen to review all foreclosed properties and decide what to do with them.
Rope Ferry Road and Herrick Road have been tarred.
The Town House parking lot is being worked on.
NEW BUSINESS: There was no new business.
CEO REPORT: Several things going on in the Carter Point area: Williamson’s steps to the shore, Buckley’s landscaping, Martin’s site preparation. Following up on work done on Horseshoe Drive, and Nichols Day Camp.
ADJOURN: There being no further business, moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to adjourn at 7 pm.
