SELECTMEN’S MEETING
January 7, 2016
Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, Neil Davis, Nelson Grindal. Also present: Victor Smith, Bob Publicover, Robert Jones, Road Commissioner Paul Carter, Fire Chief David Carter, CEO Duane Ford, Tax Collector Belinda Rooney, Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, Assistant Barbara Grindle.
Read and accepted the minutes of the last meeting with one correction. Selectman Davis has been attending school informational meetings, not the school budget meetings as written.
Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $122,757.45; school expenses were $68,642.86, legal fees, $1,034, snow contract # 3 $31,487.47, administration, including salaries, $16,075.73.
NEW BUSINESS: Treasurer to make balance sheet, assistant a disbursement sheet, including information that they will need when they come in to start the budget process next week.
Signed the contract for the small animal clinic. Moved, seconded and voted 3-0.
Moved, seconded and voted to sign the letter for the tax collector and treasurer regarding the taxes on the removed subdivision.
CEO REPORT: Nothing happening at the Caterpillar Hill Initiative property. Busy keeping in touch with building and sales and downed trees. Help assistant with drafting a form for remodels and sales that will be notification for the assessors at tax time.
