TOWN OF SEDGWICK

SELECTMEN’S MEETING

December 4, 2014

 

            Opened the meeting and established a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Neil Davis, Nelson Grindal, Victor Smith.  Also present:  CEO Duane Ford, Tax Collector Pat Gross, Treasurer Cindy Reilly, Road Commissioner Paul Carter, Assistant Barbara Grindle, Mr. and Mrs. Schneider.

 

            Read and approved the minutes of the last meeting.

 

            Signed the treasurer’s warrant for $15,840.80; $8,876.30 salaries including FICA taxes, salt for the roads $1,951.23, $617.30 general assistance, and $550 for paving on the roads.

 

            OLD BUSINESS:  Davis collecting ideas for the selectmen’s report for the annual town report.

Assistant has sent notices of a January 5 deadline for committee, legislative, and department reports.  Will be sending forms to those asking for contributions for funding for a description of their services and how those services benefit the town of Sedgwick.

 

            NEW BUSINESS:  Reviewed the ordinance changes recommended by the Marine Resources (Harbor) Committee. 

            Mr. and Mrs. Schneider thanked the selectmen for the  reduction in their taxes and discussed some of the elementary school costs.

            Moved and seconded and voted 3-0 to accept the septic policy as written.

 

            CEO REPORT:  Caterpillar Hill Initiative has purchased land from the Condon Trust.  CEO checking the deed to see where their 100’ access on Walker Pond could be.

 

            ADJOURN:  There being no further business, it was moved, seconded, and voted 3-0 to adjourn at 7:10 pm.
