SELECTMEN’S MEETING
December 28, 2023
Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, Susan Ford, Colby Pert. Also present: Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.
There being no errors or omissions in the records of the last meeting, moved, seconded and voted to accept them as written.
Reviewed the treasurer’s warrant for $128,512.22: education $117,648.67; sludge $60; snow $2679.15; administration $8,124.40.
CEO REPORT: A quiet week; checked out Black Pond and Frost Pond where there is a relative new cabin which we will be following up. The rest of the week was paperwork (and Christmas).
DISCUSSION and/or ACTION ITEMS: 1) Walker Pond Outlet Mowing ’24 – Brooksville has talked with one of the Jones boys who is willing to do the mowing for $75 per mow. Moved, seconded and voted to approve the mowing.
2) Budget Timeline – Will meet with the budget committee on January 4.
UNRESOLVED BUSINESS: No response from the County Animal Control Officer yet.
Received two more non-profit requests. Deadline for requests is December 31.
ADJOURN: There being no further business, moved, seconded, and voted to adjourn the meeting at 6:13 p.m.
