SELECTMEN’S MEETING
October 10, 2019
Opened the meeting and established a quorum present. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, Michael Sheahan. Also present: Fire Chief David Carter, Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, Acting CEO/LPI Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.
Read and approved the minutes of the last meeting.
Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $6,983.24; clearing/mv $4817.50, fees $203, sludge $180, mowing town house $40, town office $159.98, administration $214.73, fire protection $1,128.12, animal control $239.91.
DISCUSSION ITEMS: Plowing: Decided to wait for Publicover to return after his 3-way bypass to discuss plowing.
TRIO Conversion: Speaking to Trio representative on the 17th via conference call.
Spoke with a taxpayer about erosion on the Shore Road and Ferry Road. Astbury will contact the road commissioner.
Fire Chief reported that the tanker truck didn’t pass its test, he will check into prices to fix it. Did not receive the Stephen King grant, but a FEMA grant has been applied for. The department needs more air packs and grants will help purchase them.
CEO/LPI Tracy has left the job. Moved, seconded and voted 2-0 to appoint Duane Ford as CEO/LPI. Ford appointment papers filled out and he was sworn in by Clerk Reilly. 699-6844.
ACTION ITEMS: Signed the Animal Control job description.
Sent letter to Tracy confirming his resignation effective October 3, 2019.
ADJOURN: There being no further business, moved seconded and voted 2-0 to adjourn the meeting at 8:25 p.m.
