SELECTMEN’S MEETING
November 15, 2018
Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, Michael Sheahan. Also present: Mark, Robinson, CEO Frank Tracy, Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, Assistant Barbara Grindle.
There being no quorum to accept the minutes of the last meeting (Sheahan gone last meeting, Publicover gone this meeting) decided to wait for the 29th when the whole board will be present.
Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $116,301.64; education $111,549.15, dock $42, motor vehicle clearing $1,130.80, fees $81, fire $30, sludge $720, general assistance $1,465.25, town office $ 351.76, administration $931.68.
NEW BUSINESS: Discussed policies for general assistance. Will check state regulations and then discuss some guidance policies.
Budget looks like up a little, discussing benefits of motor vehicle program through TRIO.
Contacted new County Commissioner Wombacher to invite him to a get acquainted meeting.
OLD BUSINESS: Former selectman Colby Pert receiving a Spirit of America award from the County Commissioners, Monday morning at 8:30 a.m.
S.J. Rollins changing their billing from annually to monthly.
Robinson presented an explanation of the “Raise the Floor” program. Would like support from the town for school funding issues.
CEO REPORT: Investigation into a shoreland zoning issue not ready to take to the town attorney yet. Reported a good Planning Board meeting that lasted 26 minutes. Wardwell Oil representative was in and there wasn’t any problem with his request.
ADJOURN : There being no further business, moved, seconded and voted 2-0 to adjourn the meeting at 7:23 p.m.
