Duane Deferred to community members discussion

CEO REPORT-

Duane received repeat correspondence which he had received and answered on or about 2/12/25. Riley Eaton (Ghetto) called about getting a copy of building permit for Byard Point Rd, new construction. Peter Starr newly of 31 Osprey Point rd. inquired about permit info for property. Duane received request to go to Domingo residence for Snow’s plumbing. He received a call from Mr. Skoog at Christy Hill requesting to meet at the town office and sign a new power pole permit from Versant. Ecology Associates called to remind Duane about a meeting at the Townsand Property at Stumpy Cove next Tuesday @1pm. A gentleman from Bangor called to get details about how the town got its community grand for the new solar farm. However, the town did not receive a grant for the Solar Farm in town.

DISCUSSION and/or ACTION ITEMS:

  1. Daryl Astbury- Daryl asked the board about his contact that was previously voted on to extend. After some discussion over the last couple of weeks he wanted to be sure that they sealed the deal with a newly signed contract if necessary. Barry asked that Daryl provide an updated list of inventories used for plowing to insure he still had the things originally listed in the contract. Daryl assured the selectboard that he had more than originally agreed upon and would put a new list together for next week. There were some questions about Paul Carter being involved with the details of the extended contract and after much discussion, Susan as the chair assured Daryl that the agreement was between the Select Board and Daryl and that they would be prepared next week with a fresh copy of the contract to sign.
  2. Late Tax Payment overview- Barry went over the list of people currently on payment plans for past due taxes. To date most people are on track however, Joe Eaton hasn’t been remiss in his monthly payments, and we have only seen a partial payment from Dale Comb’s agreement. Johnny Gordon has agreed to pay once back to work when the Golf Course opens back up.
  3. Any updates- Jerry informed everyone that he had put the Draft Comp Plan on the website and asked that the Select Board review and make notes if necessary. He went over the change of plans from the review committee which previously was a much more informal and quick process, now has more formal parameters may time more time than originally hoped. He would keep everyone abreast of the progress of this. Susan mentioned that the auditors had everything they needed, and we were awaiting a timeline on completion. Town Reports are back from print and available in hard copy and digitally on the website. Daryl asked about the driveway at Alder Lane and whether it was a town road that should be plowed. The Select Board agreed he should continue to plow it. Thursday March 13th at 5pm we will be having cake and card singing to bid Cindy and Colby a farewell and best wishes as they both head into retirement from local government.
