CEO REPORT:
See Duane’s notes-
FIRE CHIEF UPDATE:
David had to leave last week and did not get to weigh in on the Wildfire plan. He is not in support of this plan for Sedgwick. He did agree that the plan would open the town up to grants for FD equipment but otherwise did not think that there was a threat of wildfires for the town. No further update on the firetruck except that it was going to be more money than originally estimated. The timeline for delivery is not until 2028 so there is time to discuss payment options. Lease to buy is popular now. Ordering should happen right away. He will keep everyone in the loop on the timeline of everything.
DISCUSSION and/or ACTION ITEMS:
- Vote on Sand Bid- The board reviewed the two bids from last week. Adams Landscaping $18.50 per cubic yard and Brian Billings $24.00 per cubic yard. Motion and 2nd to accept Adam’s Landscaping sand bid. 2-0 approved.
- Mildred Gray tax update- Barry found a couple of potential contacts but wasn’t sure if any had any interest in the property at this time
- Employee Time Off record- Barry will finalize time off schedule with Lyndsey, type something up to post.
- Discuss appointed positions- The Board is thinking ahead. Discussing making the clerk/treasurer positions appointed. Barry would like to get Cindy’s thoughts on this, will discuss with her.
- Trio data input update- all vendors have been entered into trio. Susan is working on inputting the warrants/info from the beginning of the fiscal year (July).
- Budget Prep work- The Select Board has reached out to the Budget committee to begin discussing the budgeting process for next year’s meeting. Will need to get some numbers from Cindy.
UNRESOLVED BUSINESS:
Andrea and Dwight Brown brough in paperwork to take ownership of the property previously owned by Timothy Brown. No vote this week. Andrea will get with Lyndsey to get the total figures for payoff. Will revisit next week.
Received an appraisal on the town hearse. Between $10-12,000 because of a missing lamp, and not the original lamp as well as missing sled pieces. This will be updated on the property/casualty pool.
ADJOURN:
Motioned and 2nd to adjourn. Approved 2-0 @6:54pm
Respectfully Submitted,
Lyndsey Dow
