CEO REPORT:

Lots of calls to the town office with questions regarding permitting etc. Duane received a call from the owner of Frank’s Flat regarding a slow-going project. Lots of various things continue to pop up. Duane will be making his rounds to various sites to check on some of these situations.

DISCUSSION and/or ACTION ITEMS:

  1. James Wood quit claim- Has been taken care of and sent to the registry to be filed, he has also received a copy.
  2. Unpaid Tax discussion- Lyndsey provided a list to the board of the properties in town that have been through the automatic foreclosure process and are now tax acquired. A brief discussion was had regarding a few properties in town that are still inhabited by the original taxpayer or dwellings still being utilized in some fashion. Maine Municipal legal recommended taking an inventory of these properties and begin the conversation of what options the town has for zeroing out these delinquent accounts. Preliminary discussion no action taken.
  3. Progress on TRIO budgetary setup/hurdles- Budgetary has been installed and a lot of the accounts have been entered. Expenses/vendors still need to be input in order to begin utilizing the function fully. Susan has asked Cindy to compile a list and work with Lyndsey to get those built in asap.
  4. TRIO Training- The training for budgetary for Wednesday August 14th has been rescheduled for Wednesday August 21st.
  5. Clerk/Treasurer and Tax Collector have been deputized, but we need everything left in the office now that townspeople have full time access to do all their business in one stop- The Board discussed with the office staff the processes that were in place currently for helping customers. The clerk and the tax collector will work together to give each other access to whatever helps keep the office running smoothly and continue to keep customer (the Legislative body) happy.
