Selectmen’s Meeting
January 16, 2020
Opened the meeting and established a quorum. Selectmen present: Michael Sheahan, Robert Publicover (via phone), Ben Astbury. Others present: CEO Duane Ford, Superintendent Chris Elkington, School Board Chairman Marti Brill.
No minutes were available for approval from the January 9th meeting.
Reviewed and signed the Treasurers warrant.
Report: CEO Ford updated selectmen regarding ongoing matters in town.
Discussion Items: Superintendent Elkington and Chairman Marti Brill presented the selectmen with a draft budget to be finalized at the school board meeting on January 20th. Discussed the GSA tuition increase and the path forward. School board to discuss and make a recommendation at the January 20th meeting.
Selectmen discussed and voted to provide the DOT with 50 cubic yards of sand per contract obligation.
Selectmen discussed the budget and reviewed accounts for the upcoming town meeting. Still waiting for final numbers so the budget can be finalized.
Adjournment: There being no further business, moved, seconded and voted 2-0 to adjourn (Publicover abstained due to physical absence).
