Also present were: Kelly Mitchell, Dylan Howard, Mia and Albert Strong, Neil Davis, Victor Smith and Assistant Barbara Grindle.
Mitchell and Howard, representing the Caterpillar Hill Initiative, were in to ask the Planning Board about permits regarding some of the plans they are discussing for the property. They are hoping to buy 10 acres of the Condon property located at the top of Caterpillar Hill right on the highway. They are talking about creating a sculpture on the property, having an outdoor classroom and amphitheatre on a cement platform. This will be removable in case they sale is not completed, and there is $2,500 set aside for the removable if needed. They were advised to read the town ordinances and be familiar with the regulations and then work within the framework of those ordinances with their plans.
The Strong’s were in regarding their nano-brewery. The septic system has been approved by the town inspector, and will be regulated by the state liquor commission. They will be filing their papers with the state sometime next week. A motion was made by Rossney to issue them a permit for a nano-brewery and was seconded by Atherton. Strong Brewing Company, LLC will brew less than 2,000 barrels of beer per year to qualify as a nano-brewery. The permit was issued.
