PLANNING BOARD MEETING, DEC. 11, 2007
The Sedgwick Planning Board met at the Sedgwick Town Office for its monthly meeting. Present were Chairman Palmer Little, Victor Smith, John Allen, David Webb,
Secretary Sylvia Wardwell and Alternate Jim Woods. Also present were CEO Duane Ford, Selectmen Nelson Grindal, Tom O’Connor, Barbara Grindle, assistant to the selectmen, James Patterson, Cliff Goodall, Jonathan and Mrs Thomas and Peter Atherton.
The meeting was brought to order by Chairman Little at 7 pm. The first order of business:
Map 4, Lot 17A – Ojala – A stop work order has been put on their driveway because of stream protection violations. The Ojala’s have had a survey done and now the Planning Board must decide on the setback amount. DEP has checked on the situation and agreed that there are serious violations. The Planning Board can possibly take untill spring to make decisions because work cannot be done until the weather clears. The CEO will continue to correspond with the Ojalas.
Map 6, Lot 32 – Kath – The Planning Board signed the permit for their driveway.
Map 2, Lot 4 – Patten – Mr Goodall, lawyer for Mrs Patten, was here to explain the extensive plans for the buildings on the former Camp Four Winds property. The Planning Board members were given the applications and plans last month to review before discussing the applications. The plans have changed somewhat and the changes were discussed at length. Mr Goodallsays that the buildings are above floodplain requirements. This land is one lot in the Patten subdivision and is to be treated as such. The Planning Board will continue the review and decide about a public hearing, they also requested a site visit. A date will be set. Mr Patterson was present to represent the Town and the Planning Board. Both lawyers will confer on several legal points raised during discussions. The applications were accepted for review and a permit fee of $150.00 was received.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 pm.
