SELECTMEN’S MEETING
June 29, 2023
Opened the meeting and established a quorum present. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, Colby Pert. Also present: CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle, Greg Phillips, Sandy and Bob Baroody, Donna Beninati, (by phone Jerry Wetterskog).
Read the minutes of the last meeting and approved them as written.
Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for 17,809.45: administration $7,473.29; clearing:m/v $6,653.68; town office $221.44; town house $18.76; snow $42.99; streetlights $138.97; fire protection $281.82; transfer station $2,924.50.
CEO REPORT: The last of the lots on Frank’s Flat has been sold; did a sign change for Hannaford; questions from Haley Wood Engineers regarding environmental information for the solar farm on Caterpillar Hill; directed a landowner how to get a driveway permit; a survey has been done on 92 Silvermine Road in preparation for a sale; passed out some shoreland permit applications; 156 Carter Point Road wishes to build a new shed; made up a large list of ‘to do’ followups.
DISCUSSION and/or ACTION ITEMS: 1) Greg Phillips – town owned property – Phillips and the Baroody’s had questions regarding a piece of land on Pertville that might be for sale by the town. The sale process was explained and the bid notice will be published next week. Bids will be accepted on two town-owned properties.
UNRESOLVED BUSINESS: Beninati updated the selectmen on the progress and timeline for the comprehensive plan. The survey papers will need to be placed in a locked box; Wetterskog volunteered to build a box for placement at the town office.
Clerk/Registrar thanks the crew that worked the town meeting. Some wages were donated back to the town, many thanks.
ASSISTANT’S REPORT: Will be going on vacation from July 1 to July 17.
ADJOURN: There being no further business, moved, seconded and voted 2-0 to adjourn the meeting at 6:40 p.m.
