PLANNING BOARD MEETING
December 11, 2012
Planning Board members present: Chairman John Allen, secretary Sylvia Wardwell, Michael Rossney, Steve Astbury, Peter Neil, alternate Peter Atherton.
Also present: Selectmen Victor Smith and Colby Pert, CEO Edward Michaels, Assistant to the Selectmen Barbara Grindle
Chairman Allen opened the meeting at 7 pm. There was no one present to come before the board, so the board checked with the selectmen on the status of the cell tower (wireless facilities ordinance). It is in the hands of the town lawyer. It should be back in time for a public review before town meeting, which falls on March 1 and 2.
The CEO reported that the architect’s plans for the home on Covenant Way should be here shortly and that the new construction will be done to code specifications.
He also reported that the Benjamin River complex is a HUD funded project and the town is not the governing body. Any HUD project is state and/or federally funded and must follow state and federal guidelines. He cannot sign a paper that says that the complex meets all safety codes because it is out of his jurisdiction.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:20 pm.
