SELECTMEN’S MEETING
February 4, 2021
Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, by phone: Bob Publicover, Michael Sheahan. Also present: Assistant Barbara Grindle, by phone: CEO Duane Ford, Fire Chief David Carter, Jerry Wetterskog, Kate Tompkins, Jeffrey Roth.
There being no errors or omissions in the records of the last meeting, moved, seconded and roll call voted to approve them as written.
Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $111,162.17: snow $33,000, streetlights $12.73, school $62,228.79, clearing I/F $1,541.50, clearing A/W $ $111, clearing vital records $83.60, clearing m/v $405.25, fees $194.60, town office $308.66, fire protection $2,511.27, administration $3,088.94 (includes $2,628 for MMA dues), salaries and taxes $5,971.89, general assistance $1,643.94.
CEO REPORT: Been a quiet week, getting ready for the Planning Board meeting on Tuesday and doing research for the meeting.
FIRE CHIEF UPDATE: Not much going on, first sessions of vaccinations will be completed on Saturday, not meeting in person, going remote for a while longer.
DISCUSSION ITEMS: 1) Moratorium discussion – MMA has provided a sample moratorium ordinance from the town of Belgrade. Sheahan hasn’t seen it yet, Publicover looked at it, Astbury will look it over and compose a draft for them to look at and discuss next week. It can go to the town attorney for review and then to the Planning Board or it can go to the Planning Board and then to the attorney.
2) Any Unresolved Business: Send a thank you letter to the Packet for Dennis and Trish Robertson. Perhaps one in the Annual Town Report also?
ACTION ITEMS: Rodent Control and start the town budget next week.
