DISCUSSION ITEMS: The photos of the erosion problem after the recent heavy rain didn’t do the problem justice on Hardings Lane. Road commissioner Carter has graded the road, but the damage may be coming from the main road culverts. DEP has been contacted, The new owners of the adjacent property have given permission to remove a new stone wall and will purchase a culvert to help with the
washing out. All parties concerned will be getting together for a discussion, not only about the erosion, but also a question of the length of the public portion of the road.
Report from a citizen that the picnic tables at Walker Pond are in very poor shape. The floats are in, and the concrete base for the gangway to the large float is being formed.
The life ring for the town dock is in and the trailer for the speed sign is here.
The ‘streetlight committee’ is making sure that all of the streetlights are working, checking which ones are town-owned, and which ones either need to be replaced or relocated. All public streetlights are being located and mapped in preparation for conversion to LED lights by Emera.
Animal control officer was called for a litter of kittens being born in deplorable conditions. Two were not located and one was injured.
