SELECTMEN’S MINUTES

Thursday, July 2, 2009

 

Selectmen present:  Nelson Grindal, Bill Jagger, Victor Smith

 

Also present:  Road Commissioner Paul Carter

 

1)      Approved the minutes of the last meetings.         

 

2)      All road work needs to be itemized with the proper paperwork for FEMA and MEMA funds.  The Road Commissioner feels it is the responsibility of the Selectmen.      The selectmen cannot do this unless the road commissioner itemizes his bills.

 

3)      The  state issued a permit to Ricky Spofford at a suggested windmill site for a temporary test tower without notifying the selectmen or the planning board.  There has been an oversized clear cut on Mr Spoffords land.  The permit will be sent to the Planning Board to see if they can find out why it was issued and by whom.

 

4)      Moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to approve insurance for volunteers if injured  while performing duties for the town.
