SELECTMEN’S MEETING
May 30, 2019

Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, Bob Publicover, Michael Sheahan. Also present: Chris Lynch, ACO Allen Van Reijsen, Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, CEO Frank Tracy, Assistant Barbara Grindle.

Moved, seconded and voted to accept the minutes with amendments.

Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $56,410.73; plumbing $100, Allen Van Reijsen $588.30, fees $112, motor vehicle clearing $1,494.75, sludge $675, administration $33.52, school $53,407.16.

CEO REPORT: Received draft copy of a consent agreement for review, very busy but difficult to do septic installments because of the wet ground, still inspecting those that can be installed, good deal of building going on.

DISCUSSION ITEMS: LED conversion: Sheahan talked with Emera representative and asked several questions about the conversion. All lights would face downward eliminating ‘dark sky’ issue, would save money, not only on monthly bills, but would be longer lasting and would be brighter. Moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to sign up for the conversion.
Snow plowing: Webb Excavating will plow again this coming winter to fulfill the last year of their contract.
Animal Control Officer stepped on a knife and destroyed his shoe. He checked insurance and all is fine, he had minor injuries. Moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to reimburse him for his shoes.
Lynch, from Matrix Design Group, introduced himself and would like to discuss broadband coverage with the broadband committee. Publicover will keep in contact with him.
Assistant will send a copy of the General Assistance Notice with the emergency contact number to the field examiner from the state office.
Astbury will get an estimate for painting the Town House and the trim on the Town Office.

ADJOURN: There being no further business, moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to adjourn the meeting at 8:08 p.m.
