Selectmen’s Meeting
August 19, 2008 Tuesday 3:30PM
Selectmen present: Nelson Grindal, Bill Jagger and Tom O'Connor. Other participants: Selectmen’s assistant Barbara Grindle and Tax collector Belinda Pert.
- Approved the minutes of the August 14, 2008 selectman’s meeting.
- Only one sealed bid was submitted for the town’s replaced fire truck. That bid was submitted by Bill Jagger in the amount of $2,701. Although the bid specifications required a sealed bid, a phone-in bid was received in the amount of $2,613. That bid was rejected by selectmen Grindal and O’Connor, who approved the $2,701 bid.
- Tax collector Pert presented two abatements, #201 ($31.90) and #202 ($32.03). Both were for rental equipment at a business that is no longer in business. The rental company is also out of business. Both were approved.
Meeting adjourned at 5:00PM.
