Selectmen’s Meeting
August 14, 2007 Tuesday 3:30PM
Selectmen present: Chairman Nelson Grindal, Bill Jagger and Tom O'Connor. Other participants: Selectmen’s assistant Barbara Grindle, Code enforcement officer Duane Ford, School superintendent Bob Webster and School board chair Jane Anderson.
- Selectmen approved the minutes of the August 9, 2007 selectmen’s meeting.
- CEO, Ford presented an update on various building projects going on around town. Several of these projects involve work in or around the shore land zone and are being closely monitored.
- Mr. Webster and Ms. Anderson attended the meeting to discuss the make up of the town committee that will oversee the school district reorganization project. Currently the committee is made up of Jane Anderson and Tom O'Connor. Mr. Webster stated that Don O’Grady has expressed an interest in becoming the third member of the committee. Mr. Webster thought that his prior experience with the school board would be a benefit. Mr. O’Grady was appointed the third member of the committee. Also discussed was the idea of having an alternate member to be named at a latter date. The fist official meeting of the committee is scheduled for August 20, 2007 at the Elementary school at 7:00PM.
